Two original Grahl conference chairs from the 1970s, upholstered in chocolate brown leather and featuring a characteristic tubular chrome (chromed steel tube frame) cantilever frame. These are early ergonomic conference chairs from the pre-Duo-Back period by Rohde & Grahl: solid, comfortable, and designed for long-term use in executive offices and meeting rooms. The chairs have a full leather seat and back, with the typical horizontal stitching characteristic of Grahl's ergonomic design philosophy before the Duo-Back introduction. The leather armrests are integrated into the continuous frame and provide stable, comfortable support. The tubular chrome frame (chromed steel tube construction) provides a slight spring while sitting and is known for its durability. The chairs come from project furniture – therefore without a brand label – but are recognizable as authentic Grahl production from this period. Condition: very good. The chocolate brown leather upholstery looks surprisingly good for chairs of this age: even, supple, and without discoloration. The frame shines and shows no structural damage. Note: one chair has small, light damages to the back of the backrest (cosmetic, not structural). See photo. Use: ideal as conference chairs, but due to the warm color, comfortable seating, and iconic tubular chrome frame, also excellent for use as vintage armchairs in a retro, mid-century, or industrial interior.
