This elegant set of 2 vintage Chippendale cane armchairs was produced in Germany in the 1960s by Adolf Wrenger, Lemgo. The chairs represent a refined example of mid-20th-century German salon furniture, combining decorative craftsmanship, graceful proportions and a warm traditional character. The armchairs feature a beautifully shaped polished wooden frame with curved armrests, cabriole-style legs and decorative cane panels on the sides and back. This woven rattan detail gives the chairs an elegant, airy appearance while highlighting the craftsmanship of the wooden construction. The loose seat and back cushions are upholstered in a floral tapestry-style fabric with soft tones of cream, green, ochre, rust and muted blue.
