A rare set of two Diaframma wall lamps from 1960. Designed by the visionary collective Gianemilio, Piero & Anna Monti for Fontana Arte. A perfect example of where technique and art converge. The lamps are crafted with chrome-plated brass shades and satin glass. The design mimics a camera's aperture, casting light with sculptural precision. The Diaframma wall lamp is an example of Italian modernism; it transcends trends. The Diaframma wall lamp is exceptional for its rarity; few original examples have survived. And for its versatility; the wall lamp's adjustable panels create dynamic lighting. The wall lamps are in very good condition, but do show some very minor signs of wear.
Two pieces available. Price is per piece.
Dimensions are as follows: Closed, the lamp is 24 cm in diameter; open, it measures 45 cm.
