Set consisting of two vase lamps with matching shades. Lamp bases: unglazed ceramic. Typical Bodo Mans design for the ceramic manufacturer Eduard Bay Keramik, 1960s, Brutalist style, blank ceramic in shades of gray with beautiful flower stars as a relief pattern.
Dimensions: The smaller vase lamp has a height of 30 cm without socket, with socket 38 cm, diameter 17 cm at the widest point, very good condition. Base embossed with maker's mark and model number: Bay 62 30. The larger vase lamp has a height of 41 cm without socket, with socket 49 cm, diameter 19 cm, weight 2.1 kg, small repair to the spout, otherwise in very good condition. Base stamped with maker's mark and model number: Bay 63 40.
The two openings of the vases are each closed with a high-quality brass plate and the threaded rod with socket is anchored in the vase with a special plug-in solution. No holes have been drilled into the collector's items and the vases remain in perfect condition.
The socket is also brass-colored and comes with matching cables (with plug and rocker switch), which lead directly into the E27 sockets via a so-called outlet socket. All fitted and tested by an electrician.
The lamps can be placed on a table, sideboard or side table as an eye-catcher to create a beautiful room atmosphere.
The shades are rolled drum shades covered with Japanese cotton fabric. The pattern is somewhat reminiscent of the Finnish Marimekko style, but is very typical of modern Japanese floral fabric patterns. The smaller lamp comes in black/white/grey (diameter 30 cm) and the larger lamp also comes in blue/green (diameter 35 cm). The larger lamp is almost 90 cm high in total.
only very slight wear at the grip points
