Product description
Exceptional side table with a particularly graphic and sculptural construction. The filigree frame made of black coated metal develops from circular and semicircular elements, creating a different geometric composition depending on the viewing angle. The lower or middle shelf is designed as a complete round surface and is fitted with a transparent, lightly tinted glass plate. Above it is a second, semicircular shelf, also made of tinted glass. Due to the different heights, books, plants, lamps or decorative objects can be arranged on two levels. The interplay of the two shapes is particularly appealing: viewed from above, the circle and semicircle almost overlap like an abstract geometric drawing. From the side, however, the furniture appears extremely light and reduced. The slender vertical struts connect the two levels, while the circular metal frame at the base provides a calm visual finish. The combination of black metal and smoked glass is reminiscent of geometrically influenced Italian and postmodern furniture design of the 1980s and 1990s. Condition: Good used condition with signs of wear consistent with age and use. The glass surfaces show fine scratches and minor surface marks. The black metal frame also has occasional light scratches or abrasions. The glass plates appear complete in the pictures and without noticeable larger chips or breakages.
