Decorative sculptural chandelier produced in Czechoslovakia during the 1970s–1980s, composed of a brass structure richly adorned with molded glass floral and butterfly elements in clear and green glass. The symmetrical radial composition creates a vivid botanical effect, transforming the chandelier into a luminous sculptural object rather than a purely functional light fixture.
The design is characteristic of North Bohemian glassmaking traditions, particularly those associated with the Kamenický Šenov region, a major center of decorative and lighting glass production. The combination of ornamental glass elements with a rational metal construction reflects the late modernist approach typical of Czechoslovak lighting design of the period.
While no definitive attribution can be confirmed, the chandelier can be stylistically associated with the production of major Czechoslovak manufacturers such as Preciosa, as well as related regional glass workshops that specialized in decorative lighting for both domestic use and export markets.
When illuminated, the glass elements produce layered reflections and subtle green highlights, giving the piece a strong visual presence. An expressive statement chandelier suitable for high-ceilinged interiors, period modernist spaces, or collectors of 20th-century Czechoslovak glass design.
