Rare and expressive ceramic object from San Marino, signed Titano - R.S. Marino - Studio. This oblong platform depicts in sgraffito technique a rural scene in which a woman leads two oxen and a man pushes a plow - a scene that exudes strength, rhythm and tranquility. Vibrant glaze colors in emerald green, turquoise and black create a rich, deeply patinated texture.
The bowl is entirely handmade and has a distinct midcentury character, with a nod to Italian folk art. The piece rests on four small legs and is beautiful as a centerpiece, wall object (with support) or sculptural accent on a table or sideboard.
