A singular piece in clear molded glass, from the "Puzzle" series imagined by Swedish designer Bertil Vallien for the Boda-Åfors glassworks in the 1970s. This cubic sculpture with its sensual, geometric form evokes both Brutalist design and the organic experimentation characteristic of the formal language of Scandinavian glass.
This half-cube, which can be used as an ashtray or paperweight, features undulating reliefs that interlock perfectly with a second half (not included here), forming a visual play on light and transparency. The object is hand-signed on the base: Boda-Åfors B.V. 78543 B. Vallien, proof of an edition validated by the workshop.
A decorative object or collector's item, this piece alone embodies the discreet refinement of vintage Nordic design.
