Product description
The Sciopticon desk lamp is an exciting item. The two antennas allow one to adjust the lighting to suit any occasion. The switches have half and full mode for brighter and softer light. The antennas are individually extendable with a minimum spring of 45 cm and a maximum length of 100 cm . The lamps are orientable in many positions . A heavy and solid base holds the lamp in place. A real 80's design piece.
Hans Ansems (1951) is Industrial designer, studied at the Art Academy in Arnhem period 1969-1974. Worked for ENSEAD in industrial design, Paris 1974-1976. Developed an ergonomic typewriter together with Olivetti and worked there for many years. Then he started his own design agency, a design store and became a professor at the Art Academy in Arnhem.
