DESCRIPTION:
Solid beechwood frame reinforced and durable with steel components in the joint mechanism; fitted seat module frame with fold-out footrest; stepless reclining adjustment to a lying position by simply shifting your weight; seat module with removable leather cover; integrated headrest. All seams are finished with elegant double stitching (in this type of stitching, the visible seams are decorative, while the actual functional seam is protected inside). This alone underscores the premium and high-quality character of this Relax Chair.

Westnofa / Vestlandske is the sister company of Stokke / Varier and a renowned Scandinavian designer furniture manufacturer. Their creations embody the typical Scandinavian design affinity for traditional materials and craftsmanship.
MATERIAL:
Lacquered beechwood / Powder-coated, lacquered steel / Naturally grained premium semi-aniline nappa leather, easy to care for yet soft!
A little leather lesson: "Not all leather is created equal!"
Please do not compare this leather to artificially grained leather. Artificially grained leather is made by pressing the lower layers of the animal hide (split leather) through heated steel rollers. The rollers have a surface designed to mimic the natural grain of leather, creating an artificial grain (embossing) on the originally smooth leather through pressure and heat.
This artificially grained leather is very often used in leather furniture sold at so-called bargain prices, producer prices, direct purchase prices, etc., on Amazon and similar platforms (often made in China). These armchairs, suites, sofas, etc., usually range in price from €600 to €1500, depending on the supplier and size. The furniture is often advertised as "genuine leather," which is technically correct. However, this does not guarantee high quality; it is by no means a seal of quality, but simply indicates that it is not synthetic leather.
This type of leather is characterized by a relatively high rate of wear and tear; with normal use, the grain disappears after a while. It also feels cold and often quite rubbery due to the heavy application of dye. The difference in quality is also reflected in the price: it costs tanneries only about a third of the price of high-quality leather, as it is essentially reject or third-rate material.
COLOR:
Chocolate / dark brown
The photos are overexposed to show the pristine condition in detail! Reddish tones appear more reddish, and colors generally appear lighter. The shadowed areas, or those not directly illuminated by the camera light, best represent the true colors. Any gloss or grayish or milky appearance in the photos is due to the lighting and/or reflections. The surfaces have a satin to semi-gloss finish.

CONDITION:
Not much text is needed here; the recliner chair is in excellent, like-new condition, both technically and visually. The leather upholstery is, of course, free of any stains, scratches, tears, or holes and is completely odorless. The frame is also in excellent condition. A perfect 10/10, without a doubt! The new owner will enjoy it for years, if not decades.

FORMER LIST PRICE / COMPARISON PRICE:
Unfortunately, this is not known. To give you a point of reference, the "Siesta" armchairs by Westnova/Hjelle currently cost around €2,900 as high-backed models in leather. However, this Relax Chair is significantly more complex in its construction and therefore has considerably higher manufacturing costs; it likely has a current list price of around €3,000 to €4,000.
