Scandinavian oak filing cabinet with vertical tambour door, multiple internal compartments, and slender elevated structure.
Scandinavian oak filing cabinet from 1963, produced by S.K.N., as indicated by the original stamp visible on the back of the piece. It features a vertical sliding tambour door with lock, which retracts upward into the top section of the cabinet. Inside, the cabinet contains a dense series of horizontal movable shelves and compartments, designed for the organized storage of documents. The tall, compact structure stands on slender slightly tapered legs, a hallmark of Scandinavian design from the 1960s that gives the piece visual lightness. The oak construction and careful craftsmanship reflect the Nordic tradition of practical, well-balanced furniture.
