The great Scandinavian ceramic workshops of the 1960s produced some of the most sought-after pieces of Nordic design—and this lamp by Inger Persson for Rörstrand is a prime example.
The base is made of natural stoneware and glazed in a deep turquoise blue, enhanced with hand-engraved decorative striations. This contrast between the raw, natural clay and the glossy glaze is characteristic of Inger Persson's work. The lamp is signed on the reverse and retains its original wiring. Sold with its bamboo and rattan slat shade.
