This Scailmont vase, designed by Henri Heemskerk in the Luxor model, is a representative example of European glass design from the Art Deco period. The design is characterized by an elegant, flared shape and a warm amber tint that subtly catches and reflects light.
Crafted from glass, the vase displays a refined interplay of textures. The top features flowing, vertical ribs, while the base is decorated with a geometric, diamond-shaped relief pattern. The underside bears the inscription 'Fait en Belgique', confirming the piece's origin and authenticity. The Scailmont factory had a long partnership with Val-Saint-Lambert and Boch Frères.
The vase is in good condition, commensurate with its age and use. The glass has retained its original luster, and the textured details remain sharply defined.
