A striking pair of Sarapis bar stools designed by Philippe Starck for Aleph Driade in 1986. These sculptural stools exemplify Starck’s radical approach to postmodern design, where graphic clarity, irony and architectural structure converge.
The stools are defined by their строгe, almost totemic silhouette: a square, disciplined frame contrasted by a gently curved backrest that appears to float above the seat. The integrated footrests and continuous vertical lines emphasize rhythm and balance, giving the design a strong visual presence without excess. Both functional and conceptual, the Sarapis stools blur the line between utilitarian furniture and design statement.
