You don't recognize good armchairs by trends, but by the decision to keep them.
This set of two Saporiti Italia armchairs from the 1970s was completely reupholstered by a certified furniture maker in the early 2000s. Not because it was necessary, but because the model was worth preserving. At that time, reupholstering this quality was comparable in cost to purchasing a new sofa and chairs.
The armchairs have a low seat height, deep seats, and loose seat and back cushions, making them exceptionally comfortable. The design is soft, understated, and timeless—typically Saporiti.
The current fabric has been carefully selected and harmonizes with the original look. While the original fabric consisted of green and off-white, a subtle yellow accent was deliberately added during the reupholstery, giving the armchairs extra warmth and character.
The armchairs have been in the family for approximately 50 years and are in good condition, with normal signs of wear consistent with age and use. Sold exclusively as a set of two. Made for moments together.
