Product description
Rare sculptural Italian pendant lamp designed by Salvatore Gregorietti for Valenti Luce, produced in Italy circa 1970. This model is known for its characteristic "Fazzoletto" shape; an organic, pleated fiberglass shade that looks like a falling cloth or a frozen textile form. A beautiful example of Italian Space Age design from the early 1970s. The shade is crafted from translucent fiberglass with a warm ivory tint and a subtle fiber structure that lights up particularly beautifully when the lamp is on. The original metal mounting plate with socket construction is present, as well as the original ceiling rose with a light patina. The lamp is in neat vintage condition without cracks or breaks. Only light signs of use consistent with age and material.
