18th-century French school, here the subject is Saint Joseph, depicted with the fleur-de-lis, a symbol of purity and integrity, very common in Christian iconography from the XVIIᵉ century onwards. His gesture with his right hand, slightly raised, expresses blessing and serenity, typical of divine protection, as is often attributed to the Patron Saint of Families.
