Large vintage serving or presentation plate from the famous „Scenario Metropol“ collection, designed by Barbara Brenner for Rosenthal Studio-Line in the 1990s. The exceptional decor combines bold geometric areas, stripes, dots and abstracted architectural forms in turquoise, blue, violet, green, red, yellow, black and white. The strongly graphic design clearly shows the postmodern formal language of the early 1990s and, with its playful geometry, is reminiscent of Memphis Design. The wide decorated rim encloses a generous white surface and makes the plate very effective both as a serving platter and as a decorative individual object or wall plate. The Scenario Metropol collection was designed by the German designer Barbara Brenner for Rosenthal and produced in the 1990s. The service was presented in 1992 at the Grassi Museum Leipzig.
