About the Designers
Michael Boehm belongs to the generation of designers who defined Rosenthal’s refined late-modernist language during the late 20th century. His “Debut” series is characterized by architectural clarity, carefully interrupted geometry, and a quiet monumentality. The vase’s curved upper rim softens the otherwise strict cylindrical body, creating a subtle tension between movement and stability.
Dutch ceramic artist Jan van der Vaart was one of the most influential figures in postwar European ceramics. Known for his reductionist forms and mathematical sense of proportion, he approached ceramics almost architecturally. His Rosenthal designs translate his signature language into industrial porcelain with remarkable elegance: restrained, asymmetrical, and intellectually rigorous.
The “Blu Canela” vase by designers Harry & Camilla introduces a more playful and object-like dimension.
