This impressive, organically shaped lidded box is part of Rosenthal’s sculptural Stillleben series, created in the 1980s by German artist Antje Brüggemann-Breckwoldt. The design plays with the poetry of everyday objects: draped cloth, fruit forms, and softly modelled geometries translate the classical still-life genre into an elegant three-dimensional composition. The lid features a trio of stylised apples resting on a gently folded textile relief — a restrained, monochromatic tableau that is both serene and tactile.
The matte surface, subtly nuanced in warm ivory tones, enhances the sculptural clarity of the piece. Characteristic for this series, the box shows fine hand-modelled textures, expressive folds, and the slightly irregular charm of small-batch artistic production within Rosenthal’s Studio Line program.
