Large sculptural vase produced by the Belgian ceramist Roger Guérin (1896-1954) in Bouffioulx, circa 1930s. The vessel is crafted from salt-glazed stoneware (grès salé), featuring a drip glaze application in varying tones of cobalt blue, grey, and beige earth tones. The ceramic body is encased in a structural wrought iron armature adorned with stylized floral motifs, leaves, and geometric spirals. The vase is signed and numbered on the base. This combination of high-fire ceramic and metalwork is characteristic of the Belgian Art Deco decorative arts production.
