Roche Bobois Mah Jong by Hans Hopfer – original 7-piece modular set. Original Roche Bobois Mah Jong, the iconic modular seating system designed by Hans Hopfer. The set was purchased directly from Roche Bobois. The original configuration dates from 2013 and was later expanded again by Roche Bobois. The original purchase and delivery documentation is present. The offered set consists of 7 modules: * 1 Orange corner module with back/side support * 1 Straight module with back support in multicolor ribbed fabric * 1 Straight module with back support in green/beige ribbed fabric * 2 Loose seat/floor cushions in ochre/yellow * 1 Loose seat/floor cushion in fuchsia * 1 Loose seat/floor cushion in grey/lilac. The loose seat cushions are approx. 95 × 95 cm. The solid green element visible on the far right in one of the overview photos has since been sold and is not part of the offered set. Thanks to its fully modular design, the Mah Jong can be arranged in many different ways: as a sofa, corner sofa, large lounge configuration, or as individual seating units. Multiple configurations are shown in the photos. The set is used and shows signs of wear consistent with its age. The original fabrics have a stain in a few places, variations in nap, and other signs of use. We have never cleaned the set in all these years, nor have we treated the stains ourselves. Therefore, some refreshing is expected. We have deliberately chosen to offer the set in its current, original condition. All original tufted buttons have now been reinstalled. A small seam on the back of one of the ribbed back modules has been repaired locally. Otherwise, the modules are beautifully shaped and retain the distinctive combination of colors and textures that is so characteristic of the Mah Jong. Original Roche Bobois documentation from 2013 and of the later expansion is included. Preference for sale as a complete set. Individual modules may also be open for discussion upon a suitable offer.
