Italian ceramic candleholder from the Rimini Blue series by designer Aldo Londi for Bitossi.
Hand-thrown ceramic in white fireclay, made with hand-engraving.
Numbered 735/3 Iatly at the bottom
Aldo Londi (1911-2003) was a painter, sculptor, and primarily a ceramist. He designed objects that are still part of the history of Italian ceramics. He was born in Montelupo Fiorentino. At the age of eleven, he began working for Fanciullacci's production, where he learned traditional pottery techniques.
