Antique Louis XV style bedside table, fully restored and renovated by hand.
Each step was carried out by hand, with the aim of preserving the elegance of the piece while giving it a contemporary interpretation.
The table was completely sanded and then repainted in a deep navy blue, before being protected with a varnish on all surfaces. Fine gold leaf flakes were delicately applied to the paint, creating a subtle and luminous effect, evoking a starry sky.
The inside of the cabriole legs was highlighted with an application of gold leaf, elegantly emphasizing their curves and making a bold nod to the codes of luxury. The original brass handles were carefully restored to their original luster.
Each drawer is lined with a decorative "Birds of Paradise" paper, adding a refined and colorful touch to the interior of the table, contrasting with the deeper, more muted exterior.
The slight irregularities visible attest to the antique nature of the piece and its handcrafted nature. They are an integral part of its charm and make this piece unique.
