Extremely rare sculptural coat hanger made by the renowned Italian company Antartidee in the 1980s.
This museum-worthy piece of Italian design was inspired by the art of French artist Renè Magritte and two of his most famous works.
On the top of the coat rack, we can see four noses that reference the artist's 1937 work "La Bonne Aventure," while at the base, there is a boot/foot that references the artist's 1935 work "II Modello Rosso."
Metal and fiberglass frame.
The item is in good condition; there are no major aesthetic or structural defects to report, only minor and obvious signs of aging due to use and age. (See photo)
