Rare Vintage Sideboard – Martin Visser 'Bornholm' KW63 for 't Spectrum
This exceptional sideboard was designed in the 1950s by Dutch designer Martin Visser and produced by 't Spectrum. The model, known as Bornholm KW63, was Visser’s very first sideboard design and was only produced until 1959.
The piece combines a black metal frame with a teak wood casing, creating a beautiful contrast between industrial and natural materials. The two sliding doors, made of white lacquered wood, reveal a spacious shelf on the left side and, on the right, four elegantly crafted drawers and a smaller shelf. Three of the drawers are lined with grey felt. The cabinet rests loosely on the metal frame and can be positioned to the left, right, or centered—according to preference.
Its clean, minimalist design reflects Martin Visser’s timeless design vision. A rare piece that is both functionally versatile and aesthetically striking.
Condition: In good, original condition. The shelf on the left shows some scuff marks, and the felt in the drawers has a few stains. Originally, a black rack was included, but this is no longer present.
A true collector’s item for lovers of iconic Dutch mid-century design.
