Rare vintage retro American tripod lamp from the 1950s and 1960s
This is a very unusual and rarely seen American portable lamp. These lamps were very popular in the 1950s and 1960s because they were very lightweight and easy to transport. The design is very striking with a futuristic inspiration. The black tripod base and the salmon/orange bubble shade are made entirely of plastic. Very lightweight. The quality is not optimal, as these lamps were produced and distributed to be affordable for the average family.
The lamp is in excellent condition for its age, without damage. It takes an E27 bulb, and the American plug (which is included with the sale) has been replaced with a European plug. The switch is also unusual, with a turning wheel at the base (with an internal lock/on/off/unlock function). Ready to use.
