Rare 1970s pencil reed/rattan Bellflower coffee table with a deep burgundy lacquer finish and original round glass top.
The unusual burgundy colour appears original and has beautiful natural patina, with some wear revealing the lighter reed underneath. I have not found another example in this colour.
The original glass top is included. There is one small chip/damage to the edge of the glass, clearly visible in the photos.
The design is associated with 1970s Italian makers such as Vivai del Sud and the Gabriella Crespi aesthetic. This example is unmarked, so attribution is not confirmed.
A highly sculptural statement piece in very good vintage condition.
