This rare vintage Moroccan Boujad rug dates from the 1970s–1980s and originates from the Boujad region in central Morocco, an area renowned for its bold colors and expressive Berber symbolism. Entirely handwoven by Berber women using traditional techniques, this exceptional large-format rug is a true collector’s piece.
Made from 100% natural sheep wool, this Boujad rug features a powerful geometric composition with layered diamond motifs and ancestral Berber symbols. The color palette is rich and vibrant, blending deep red, burnt orange, magenta, purple, and soft natural wool tones. These colors, softened by time, give the rug a striking visual depth and a beautiful vintage patina.
