This is a vintage Klippan Armchair by IKEA, an early and increasingly sought-after version from 1999. Unlike the more common fabric models, this piece features genuine black leather upholstery and a minimalist chrome-plated metal frame, representing a higher-quality variant of the iconic design. Made from thick, robust genuine leather that envelops the cubic shape, the armchair rests on an elegant, stable chrome-plated metal frame. The furniture piece was manufactured in Romania, as evidenced by the original label. The dimensions are 71 cm in height, 78 cm in width, and 73 cm in depth, with a comfortable seat height of 46 cm and a seat depth of 51 cm, making it a versatile addition to various living spaces. The armchair is in good, well-maintained vintage condition. The leather has been gently cleaned and cared for, resulting in a subtle semi-matte finish. For its age of 27 years, the furniture piece shows normal and age-related signs of wear. The leather exhibits an authentic patina with fine superficial cracks as well as slight dents on one of the outer sides. Additionally, there are two tiny holes in the underfabric in the corners under the seat cushion, completely invisible in everyday use, and there is normal pilling in the area of the Velcro fasteners. The chrome frame is stable and does not wobble. With its clean lines and classic material combination, this Klippan Armchair seamlessly integrates into minimalist, industrial, or eclectic interiors.
