A rare and architecturally composed example of Hans Hopfer’s Dromadaire, designed for Roche Bobois in 1974, presented here in an exceptionally complete and visually balanced double corner configuration. Unlike the more widely recognized Mah Jong, the Dromadaire introduces a more structured and rhythmic language, defined by its undulating vertical back elements that echo the silhouette of a dromedary. This configuration transforms the piece from a sofa into a spatial installation, equally suited for gallery-like interiors as for high-end residential environments.
The composition is defined by its sculptural repetition of softly rounded vertical forms, creating a continuous skyline of upholstered volumes.
