Product description
A beautiful and authentic leather monkey from the renowned brand Deru Germany. This object is an icon of Mid-Century Modern design from the 1960s and is entirely handcrafted from a single piece of thick cowhide leather.
Features:
• Brand: Authentic "DERU GERMANY" stamp present on the inside of the leg.
• Size: This is the rarer Medium model, larger and more detailed than the standard mini version.
• Construction: A fine example of folding art (origami style) where the leather has been shaped using rivets.
• Condition: In good vintage condition with a beautiful patina. There is a slight wear spot on the back of the leather (see detail photo). Otherwise, the leather is sturdy throughout and the construction is fully intact.
A unique collector's item for lovers of Bauhaus, German design, or vintage leather sculptures.
