Product description
Very unique and very good scissor lamp of Swedish manufacture, brand Ledu with a very special shade. McM, attributable to the 50-60s. Brown was the color of the 50s, possibly later, can't say for sure. Ledu/Waso was a Scandinavian/Swedish manufacturer of many medical lights and also architectural lamps. These can certainly be found online. However, this is a not very common and even rare lamp, because of the shade and scissor system. Ipvv springs and open metal frame is closed, solid and thick metal. The previous owner from the Karlstad area bought it over from an architect. However, this has only been established verbally. The lamp is ideally portable and can be attached to many types (thicknesses) of table or vise. The pear/light source is placed in the back and not in the center of the lamp, so the light reflects better and differently than average lamps, and when the lamp is upright it gives a beautiful and special and practical light beam. Considering its age it is in very clean condition. Good+/very good-. Working, labeled and complete. Type number: 240, serial number: 025105. Nice detail is that in the plastic tab (which is used to tilt the lamp because of the heat is also stamped Ledu). Everything hinges well, knobs turn well for different positions and heights. Beautiful is the highly reflective inside of the shade, almost mirror-like (possibly aluminum coating). Additional dimensions and info: Fully Extended the lamp is +/- 120 high from the clamp. Average half shelved +/- 60 cm (can be less or more). The shade is 24 cm in diameter but not round, somewhat rectangular and thus longer than wider. Height of shade +/- 21 cm, including the white on and off switch. Maximum 75 watt light source.
