COLLECTOR'S PIECE "SÈVRES RED"
Title: Rare Prestige Miniature Sèvres – Jean Mazeaud & Jean Faverot – Red & Gold – Signed 983
Description: "A rare find, an exceptional piece of French art ceramics from the 1950s-1960s. This small spherical vase (or low bowl) is a refined testament to the expertise of Jean Mazeaud (former model maker at the Sèvres National Porcelain Manufactory) and Jean Faverot (FMF/SMF Workshops).
Design & Signature Decoration: Deep carmine red enamel (known as 'Oxblood') enhanced with splashes of fine gold, creating a marbled and crackled pattern of great depth. The neck is highlighted by a pure gold gilt ring.
"Jewel" Shape: Low and elegant silhouette, ideal for a display case. Height 5.5 cm | Diameter 9 cm.
Authenticity: Model certified by the shape number 983 stamped in red under the base, characteristic of luxury pieces from the Sèvres workshop of this period.
Condition: Splendid brilliance of the enamel and gold. Note a tiny chip from use under the foot (base), completely invisible once the piece is displayed and in no way detracting from its superb visual presentation.
