Here's one that doesn't just adorn a wall; it defines a room. This sideboard is unique in that it's reversible, making it equally beautiful from the front and back, with openings on both sides!
A true innovation for its time (the 1950s), and still so today, as this type of furniture is virtually impossible to find.
It can be positioned in the center of a room to delineate spaces and doesn't need a wall to stand out. However, it can also be placed against a wall, fitting seamlessly into any design.
Attributed to Alberto Rosselli, a pioneer of industrial design and co-founder of the Ponti-Fornaroli-Rosselli studio, this sideboard is a masterpiece!
It's very much in the style of George Nelson's sideboard for Herman Miller, sharing the same lines, but with the added advantage of its dual nature!
The depth of the rosewood, the minimalist architectural lines, and the metal finishes are undeniable proof of quality craftsmanship.
It offers ample storage space while maintaining an airy elegance thanks to its discreet base.
Please note a few signs of wear on the tabletop, one area slightly lighter due to the lighting (see photos).
There are also some light, small white marks on one side.
But nothing that detracts from the beauty and quality of this piece.
