Titled Cat-Light I, this collectible candle holder exemplifies Alt’s signature fusion of Pop Art, Expressionism, and playfully surreal figuration — where a cat morphs into a woman, or vice versa, and the line between sculpture and cartoon disappears in favor of delight. The characteristically bold use of saturated color blocks, exaggerated features, and stylized facial symmetry reflects Alt’s visual language developed across media — from painting and ceramics to monumental sculpture and stage design.
