Product description
Rare anniversary edition of the iconic PH5 pendant lamp designed by Poul Henningsen in 1958. This lamp was given a unique gray color and was manufactured by the renowned Danish company Louis Poulsen. It was only produced on a very limited basis at the time and has since become a collector's item.
This lamp, which only won an iF Design Award in 1971, is based on the principle of a reflective multiple screen system, which creates harmonious and 100% glare-free lighting.
Poul Henningsen was a Danish writer, critic, architect and designer. He is often cited as the first true lighting architect because he devoted much of his life to exploring the importance of light for well-being. He concentrated on creating lamps that produced non-glare lighting. His best-known lamp models are the PH Artichoke, the PH 5 and the PH Contrast lamp.
The lamp is in very nice vintage condition with minimal signs of use. Furthermore, the manufacturer's sticker is still present inside as a sign of authenticity.
