Description:
"A sublime sculptural pitcher from the 1950s-1960s, a testament to the golden age of European art ceramics. This piece is distinguished by the exceptional depth of its enamel.
Design & Style: Domed silhouette with clean, modernist lines. Spectacular decoration created using the flamed enamel technique. An intense emerald green merges with creamy white splashes, creating unique organic patterns in 'clouds' or 'drips'.
Craftsmanship: High-quality workmanship. The brilliance of the glaze and the mastery of the decoration point to exceptional pieces produced by the Elchinger factory (Alsace) or the renowned workshops of Vallauris.
Authenticity: A distinctive piece bearing a handwritten incised signature 'E' beneath the The base is engraved with a stylus before firing. The network of fine, natural cracks (crazing) beneath the glaze attests to its age and authenticity.
Dimensions: Height 17.5 cm | Diameter 9 cm. An ideal size for a statement piece or a cabinet of curiosities.
Condition: Very good overall condition with a remarkable shine. Note a tiny chip in the glaze at the base of the handle, evidence of its age and a guarantee of authenticity for a piece of earthenware over 60 years old.
