For sale is an exceptional Scandinavian Mid-Century seating group, consisting of a generous four-seater sofa and two matching lounge armchairs. The set is attributed to Sven Ellekær due to its characteristic design, presumably for Komfort Møbler, Denmark. It likely dates from the 1960s or early 1970s. A fully legible manufacturer's label is unfortunately no longer present, therefore the designer and manufacturer information is explicitly given as an attribution. Particularly beautiful are the organically curved armrests, the slender legs, the open slatted back, and the warm, dark brown wood. It is probably rosewood or dark-finished teak. The original-looking black leather cushions are loosely placed and classically buttoned. The sofa has four seat and back cushions each. The suspension consists of the coated metal springs typical for high-quality Scandinavian seating furniture of this period. The sofa and armchairs together form a rare and exceptionally representative living room seating group. The entire seating group is in very good and well-maintained original condition. The wooden frames are stable and show a beautiful, age-appropriate patina. The suspensions also appear complete and well preserved. The black leather upholstery also presents itself very well maintained. Only slight signs of wear and wrinkles, normal for its age, are present. Overall, it is an exceptionally well-preserved vintage set that can be used immediately.
