Up for auction/sale is an exceptional and highly sought-after 4-piece matching collection of vintage West German Pottery (WGP) from the 1950s.
Designed by Georg Schmider for the renowned manufacturer Zeller Keramik, this set features the iconic and incredibly rare "1818" abstract geometric line decor. With its organic silhouettes and striking hand-painted blocks of vibrant yellow, cobalt blue, and orange on a textured matte off-white glaze, this ensemble is the absolute pinnacle of 1950s European atomic/modernist design.

Marks & Authenticity: Each piece is clearly stamped or incised on the bottom with the official hallmarks: "Made in Western Germany" alongside the famous model/decor number "1818" and Georg Schmider’s factory markings.
Condition: Overall very good vintage condition. Three of the pieces (the bulbous vase, the cylinder vase, and the pitcher) are completely pristine with no chips, cracks, or restorations. The tallest asymmetrical vase has one small, minor chip on the top rim (as shown clearly in the close-up photos). The price of the set has been adjusted to reflect this.
