Product description
A stunning, authentic piece of Belgian Mid-Century Modern (MCM) studio pottery: a tall ceramic pitcher from the renowned Belaire workshop in Rance, Belgium. Dating from the 1960s, this collectible pitcher features a rare gestural Pax symbol (Chi-Rho cross ☧) hand-painted in deep black over a textured, matte white glaze. Manufacturer: Belaire (Rance, Belgium) Markings: Clearly stamped with the Belaire "wind mill" logo, "BELGIUM", "BR", and model number "A37" on the base (see photos). Era: Circa 1960s Condition: Excellent vintage condition. No chips, no cracks, and no repairs. The glaze is clean and the black decoration is sharp. Height: Approx. 8.5 inches / 21.5 cm This pitcher is a rare find for collectors of Belgian ceramics (like Faiencerie de Thulin or Antoine Dubois) and those interested in religious mid-century design. A definitive statement piece.
