Gemet armchair. High-back version, designed in 1973 by Jan Dranger & Johan Huldt for IKEA.
An iconic piece of 1970s Scandinavian design.
Collapsible chrome-plated steel frame ○23 mm sled base 🖇 "They take their name from the ingenious paperclips we can't live without."
A minimalist design typical of the era.
High-back version, rarer and more comfortable than the low-back model. Original linen-woven fabric and cushion, removable (washed) 🧽🪣
Beautiful patina consistent with its age. Chrome in good condition, sound and stable frame. A design that is both visually light and very sturdy. A superb piece for a modernist, vintage, or contemporary interior.
