This type of furniture was made around the turn of the 20th century for prestigious interiors, where it served as a support for plants, sculptures, or decorative objects. The proportions, rich carving, and refined finish clearly place this piece in the upper echelons of fine furniture craftsmanship. ⸻ 🗺️ PROVENANCE AND ATTRIBUTIONS Probably made in England. 🔍 Motivation: The combination of Neo-Chippendale design language, the structural design, the deep relief carving, and the use of high-quality mahogany is characteristic of English workshops from the late Victorian period.
