Glass bowl by Jean-Michel Operto in Biot, signed by the artist.
It reveals a magnificent range of blues, from light azure to navy blue in the background, with touches of antique gold evoking petals. The whole piece is studded with gold flakes, typical of Biot, which you can see better in the last photo.
This object is very rare. We are more accustomed to the bottles, vases, and paperweights by this master glassmaker, but this piece is truly exceptional within his oeuvre.
I am therefore parting with this large and spectacular bowl, 23 cm in diameter at its widest point.
