Bring a rare design classic into your home with this set of two modular lounge chairs from IKEA's now almost unavailable Rörberg series (2009), designed by Ulf Quensel.
These chairs are true collector's items and are exceptionally hard to find, especially in this condition. Featuring a striking combination of a white lacquered steel frame and vibrant orange covers, they give off a distinctive space-age and lounge character. With their soft forms and clean steel frames, they are reminiscent of futuristic 1960s and 70s interior designs, interpreted in typical Scandinavian style.
The strong contrast between the bold color scheme, low proportions, and minimalist steel frame makes this series a true statement piece today. The modules are extremely flexible: use them as two individual lounge chairs or combine them to create an exceptional two-seater sofa.
Povenance and Condition:
This set has been very lightly used and is in beautiful, well-maintained condition. The upholstery has been freshly washed and is clean. The buttons on the backrests are original and have not been replaced. There are only very minor, age-appropriate signs of wear and small scratches on the frames, consistent with a well-cared-for vintage item. They have a wonderful presence.
