The ensemble shown here is a striking post-modern dining set consisting of a rectangular dining table with a glass top and six matching chairs.
The design follows the typical style of the 1980s, combining transparent materials, metallic accents and geometric lines.
The table top consists of a clear, thick-walled glass top with polished edges and rests on two expressive, column-like acrylic glass table legs.
These feature vertical grooves based on classic column channels and rest on stepped plinths, also made of acrylic.
The table was made in Italy, Rome, by Fabian Art, a manufacturer known for its high-quality acrylic glass furniture and whose signature style creates a stylish combination of classicist elegance and modern use of materials. The high-quality workmanship is clearly visible in the clear edges, brilliant transparency and accurate joints.
The six matching chairs echo the materiality and design language of the table.
Their back legs and backrests are made of curved acrylic elements, which are elegantly perforated and ornamented in the backrest area. The frame structure made of brass-colored metal forms a clear contrast to the transparency of the acrylic and at the same time provides stability and visual depth. The seats are upholstered and covered with a cream-colored fabric that has a slightly shimmering effect and underlines the luxurious appearance. A brass strut in the lower section provides additional stability and formal unity.
The chairs are from the manufacturer Vereinigte Werkstätten München. In the 1980s, the company produced a series of high-quality furniture under the Collection label, combining classic motifs with contemporary materials.
