Beautiful Rare Diptych ‘Landscape’ (1982) by Harry van Kuyk, edition 8/15 (Signed)
Offered for sale: a beautiful and extremely rare diptych by the renowned Dutch graphic artist and conceptual artist Harry van Kuyk (1929-2008).
It consists of two original, hand-signed relief prints (blind prints) from his 'Landscape' series from 1982.
The works display a stunning minimalist interplay of lines, depicting a layered cloudy sky/sea on one side and a rugged rock face or cliff coast on the other. The depth and shadow effects in the heavy, handmade paper are characteristic of his unique 'print-sculptures'.
Unique collector's detail: Both works bear the exact same edition number: 8 of only 15 pieces worldwide (8/15). They thus form an inseparable and harmonious diptych. Artist: Harry van Kuyk (often spelled as Van Kuijk)
