This Dijkstra pendant lamp from the 1970s is a characteristic example of Dutch lighting design from the Space Age era. The design stands out due to the layered, mushroom-shaped shade and the warm, gold-colored finish typical of the aesthetics of that decade. The lamp is crafted from metal with a brushed, gold-colored finish. The construction consists of a large outer dome and a smaller inner reflector, ensuring a pleasant, indirect light distribution. The fixture features a pull-cord mechanism and an original label confirming its origin and maximum wattage (60W). The lamp also has a switch with three selectable settings: only the top lamp, only the bottom lamp for downward beam light, and both lamps on. Top lamp fitting E27, bottom lamp fitting E14. The object is in good vintage condition, commensurate with its age and use. The original finish and characteristic patina have been preserved, contributing to the piece's authentic appearance. This pendant lamp looks excellent above a dining table or in a seating area. The design aligns seamlessly with both Mid-Century Modern and eclectic interiors, where it serves as a striking, atmospheric element. E27 fittings at the top of the lamp and E14 in the lower part for directed downward light.
