A beautiful, authentic Dijkstra Eyeball table lamp from the 1970s. This example is an early and more luxurious version from the renowned Haarlem lamp factory.
What makes this lamp special are the chrome-plated metal ribbed knobs (adjusting screws). While later models often featured simple black plastic knobs, this model exudes pure quality and durability.
Specifications:
Design: Iconic "Eyeball" shade made of brushed aluminum combined with a mocha-colored acrylic (Perspex) edge.
Lighting effect: The characteristic perforations on the top of the shade create an atmospheric light pattern on the wall and effectively dissipate heat.
Construction: The shade hangs from an aluminum bracket and is fully tiltable. The arm can be adjusted along the entire length of the chrome-plated stem.
Authenticity: The base is weighted with the characteristic concrete filling and a central nut on the bottom – the hallmark of an original Dijkstra.
Height: Approximately 60 cm. Shade diameter approximately 22cm
(Width and depth in the description are approximate measurements.)
Condition: In excellent vintage condition. The chrome is polished, the shade is sleek, and the acrylic shows no heat distortion. Minor signs of wear, consistent with age.
A timeless piece of Dutch Design that makes a real eye-catcher in any vintage, industrial, or modern interior, whether used as a desk lamp or mood lamp.
