Product description
Rare and very beautiful large cake plate in amber molded glass by René Lalique, "Billes" model, even rarer in this color variation, referenced on RLalique.com. Antique, circa 1937, Art Deco period. Unsigned (common for this model). Round shape with a concentric decoration of relief beads of decreasing sizes towards the center. Model also listed and sold, at Christie's, on a 32cm diameter example signed "R. Lalique France". 30cm in diameter, 2.5cm high. Good general condition. There are usage scratches in the center, more or less discreet depending on the light, a small impact in the center as well as four frosted areas also located in the center and more or less visible depending on the angle. Approximately 1.200kg.
